NEXTREMA® opaque white
NEXTREMA® opaque white is a durable glass-ceramic known for its exceptional temperature resistance of up to 950°C. This makes the opaque white variant of SCHOTT NEXTREMA® an ideal choice for industrial high-temperature and microwave applications.
It is perfectly suited wherever low radiation transmission in the visible light and infrared spectrum is required.
In addition to its excellent chemical resistance to acids and bases according to DIN 12116, ISO 695, and DIN ISO 719, this homogeneously colored glass-ceramic can withstand even the most demanding conditions.
This visually appealing, non-porous glass-ceramic is also used by designers and architects to add a refined touch to a wide range of projects.
Withstands temperatures up to 950°C
Excellent thermal insulation due to low transmission in the short-wave IR spectrum
Chemically resistant glass-ceramic, even in aggressive environments
Acids, bases, and hydrolytic influences according to DIN 12116, ISO 695, and DIN ISO 719 have no effect on this material. More details can be found in the Chemical Properties article.
