SCHOTT radiation-protective glass provides good visibility while shielding against gamma and X-ray radiation.
SCHOTT RD 30 is used in low-voltage X-ray tubes, whereas SCHOTT RD 50® is designed to withstand exposure to high-voltage X-ray and gamma radiation, making both products the perfect choice.
The SCHOTT solution provides radiation protection comparable to solid lead. Lead oxide makes up 65% of the mass of RD 50® and 22% of the mass of RD 30 SCHOTT.
