Mirrored Fireplace Glass – Schott Robax
A new innovation on the global market is the application of a mirror coating on ceramic glass to enhance the aesthetics of modern stoves and fireplaces. This finish provides an elegant look when the fireplace is not in use. Currently, mirrored glass is produced in a silver color.
The interior of the firebox remains invisible until the fire is ignited, at which point the glass becomes completely transparent, just like regular ceramic glass. This modern glass panel serves as an excellent cover for troublesome soot and burnt wood residues.
The side with the mirror coating should only be cleaned with lukewarm water and dish soap.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Since surface changes can result from cleaning methods, only cleaning agents specifically designed for fireplace glass should be used, and the cleaning and care instructions should be followed. Abrasive or corrosive cleaners must not be used under any circumstances.
